Mariana Brunel is an Argentinian opera/classical/metal singer, front-woman in the Gothic metal band Abrasantia.
Mariana started taking singing and piano lessons at the age of 13. In 2005, she started composing and writing material for her first metal band. One year later, at he age of 16 she performed live for the first time in a theater with this new project. At then same time, she started studying Opera singing at University (Rosario, Argentina) and joined the Rosario Opera Choir for three years. She also took singing lessons in Buenos Aires with many teachers from Teatro Colón (theatre), and also with famous singer Tarja Turunen.
In the year 2015 she was invited to participate in Kitee International Music and Arts Week, event that tributes Nightwish with musicians from all over the world.
At the moment, besides working on her solo career and in collaboration with other musicians, she sings in Abrasantia (Gothic metal band from Argentina) and released with them their first LP “Forgotten Rituals” on July 2015.
