Michael Angelo Batio is one of the most renowned and acclaimed guitar players worldwide. Batio’s supreme and unique playing style, technique, feeling and absolute mastery led him to the Olympus of the greatest guitarists of all time!

Voted n.1 Shredder of all time (Guitar One Magazine) and one of the Top 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time (Guitar World Magazine), Michael is one of the originators and pioneers of the entire “Shred” Guitar genre. Michael showcased guitar techniques and innovations, for the first time, on his early instructional programs as well as in live performances, that are now considered “standard techniques” among guitarists throughout the entire world.

Michael Angelo has performed in 55 countries! Michael has performed over 800 shows around the world since 2003 and literally thousand of shows during his lifetime.

Batio’s work has encompassed many genres, but he is best known for playing heavy metal and its sub-genres such as neo-classical metal, and hard rock. Batio is known for his technical mastery of the fretboard and his extremely fast picking and sweep picked arpeggios. He is also known for his showmanship during performances, particularly his use of the “Over-Under” technique, and for his ability to play a double and quad guitar, using both hands to play. Michael’s instructional DVDs are some of the most famous and best selling guitar programs in the world!

He invented and was the world’s first player of the Double-Guitar. On Thursday February 2nd, 2012, Michael’s Dean “Jet” Double-Guitar was put on permanent display in the Rock and Roll All of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio!
