Miljenko Djuran is a operatic tenor born in Zagreb (Croatia). Along with appearances at opera and operetta stage, he also regularly prepares soloist concerts . He has performed in Slovenia, Austria, France, Sweden, Canada, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and other countries. Recently, Mr. Djuran has had several remarkable performances in modern operas by Juranic, Belamaric, Vrebalov, Foretic, well received by both critics and the audience.
Discovered as a gifted tenor voice, Mr. Djuran started his musical education in 1987. The education, sponsored by Zagrebačka banka, Zagreb, started with the world known opera singer, Ms. Biserka Cvejić and was continued afterwards with professor Doroteja Cesnik-Spasić, and professor Marija Borčić, and prof. Mladen Raukar.
He first performance as a concert singer was in 1989. and 1990. in Bach Magnificat . The 1990. audition for the role of Pedrillo in Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seralio opened the doors to the world of opera to Mr. Djuran. Since then Mr. Djuran has performed in the following roles;
