Vitalij Kuprij is a pianist, composer, and keyboardist in the neo-classical progressive metal bands Artension and Ring of Fire. In 2009 he joined the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Vitalij Kuprij has been the recipient of numerous awards and prizes and much in demand as a soloist, recitalist, pianist and composer throughout the United States and abroad. He played in many countries throughout the world.
Vitalij began piano studies at Kiev’s Mykola Lysenko Music Academy where he studied with Professor Nina Najditsch. Unlike most classically trained musicians Vitalij’s cross-over capability into the neo-classical world evidences him as a leading force in the alternative rock and musical exploration as we know it today. He has numerous albums out under the Shrapnel Records, Marquee Avalon and Yamaha labels.
