For more than two decades, Wade Black has thrilled audiences worldwide fronting such legendary metal bands as Crimson Glory, Seven Witches, Leatherwolf, Leash Law, and War of Thrones. His voice is featured on more than a dozen albums and his music has been featured in major motion picture soundtracks. He has toured the world and performed at major metal festivals, in addition to hundreds of regular tour shows.
Wade first came to the attention of the metal community in 1991 with his band Lucian Blaque. This critically acclaimed band recorded three albums and performed to sold-out crowds. Following the band’s initial four year run, Wade put his knowledge of vocal technique to work as an instructor at a music conservatory in Tampa, FL. His ability to soar through his three octave-plus range made him an in-demand instructor for aspiring vocalist of all genres of music.
Wade garnered international fame when he took over as vocalist for the reactivated Crimson Glory in 1999. The “Astronomica” album received rave reviews and established Wade as one of the new breed of vocal icons.
Following a world tour with Crimson Glory, the band went on hiatus, however, not being one to rest on past glories, Wade forged ahead. His skills as a vocalist and frontman kept him in high demand. He recorded and performed with established acts such as Seven Witches and Leatherwolf, as well as collaborations with other metal luminaries. Additionally, he founded the bands Leash Law and most recently, War of Thrones.
Wade continues to perform regularly with his band War of Thrones as they ready their debut album. He continues to collaborate with bands from around the world, lending his voice to an ever-expanding range of bands and projects.
